学校简介：  

　　  温州十四中学坐落在江滨西路223号，是一所创办于1983年的完全中学。在占地面积23235平方米，绿化面积2700多平方米的花园式的校园里，环境清幽、绿树成荫、芳草似锦，假山雕塑点缀其中，是莘莘学子求学成才的理想之地。
    学校将“以人为本”作为办学理念，重视对学生能力培养和个性发展，以“博学笃行、蔚为国用”为校训，努力实践“一切为了人的发展”的教学原则，加强队伍建设，强化责任意识、整体意识和服务意识，努力建设师德高尚、业务精良、学识广博、善于培养学生创新能力的教师群体。
    学校教学设施完善，功能齐全，拥有网络系统、闭路电视系统、音响系统、通讯系统、计算机房、多媒体教室、软件制作室、体艺大楼等现代化教学设施。学校现有19个高中班，23个初中班；在校学生2131人，教职员工165人；高级教师38个，中级教师60人；大学本科的教师占89.2%，在读硕士3人；教师平均年龄35.2岁。学校创办迄今，有40多人次获省、市级劳动模范，优秀教师，教坛新秀等荣誉称号。
     严谨的教风，浓郁的学风和严格的管理，为学校赢得一个又一个荣誉。学校在1993年、1996年、1999年连续三次评为市文明学校，1999年获省文明学校称号，1997年中央教研所批准我校为“面向二十一世纪提高教学质量的研究和实验”课题研究实验基地，2001年列入省现代教育技术实验学校，2002年浙江省教育科学研究院授予我校“浙江省科研兴校200强”荣誉称号，2003年获现代教育技术推广应用工作先进集体称号，2004年被评为浙江省课程改革校本教研示范学校，2005年获市重点中学称号。
    近几年来，学生参加各类比赛屡屡获奖。十多人次获省自然科学竞赛和全国初中数学竞赛一、二、三等奖。在温州中学数学试验班考试中，我校已有9人榜上有名。每年均有50多名初中生考进重点中学，高考升学率已达到97％以上。《中国教育报》、《教育信息报》、《浙江科技报》、《温州日报》相继报道我校管理促发展的事迹。

Brief Introduction of Wenzhou No. 14 High School

    Wenzhou No. 14 Middle School, located at 223# Jiangbin West Avenue, was founded in 1983. It covers an area of 23,235 square meters , with more than 2,700 square meters of the campus green.
It’s a garden-style campus with quiet surroundings, green trees, green grass, colorful flowers, man-made hills and all kinds of statuses. It’s an ideal place for the young teenagers to study here to make their dreams come true.

    Our school shall carry out the essential education principal of “People Oriented ” . The school pays much attention to the development of students individualities and abilities and will always carry out the educational principle of “Do everything for the development of each student ”.As a matter of fact, the school spirit of ‘learned, honest, creative’has been built up. We shall carry forward the school spirit and strive to establish a high-leveled, modern and very famous high school throughout the city. Every student in our school should develop freely in an all-round way ,especially in creative and practical abilities and personalities. We shall do our best to strengthen the senses of duty, service, virtue and entirety , and make every effort to make our teachers excellent ones with lofty morals , first-class teaching and rich learning. great creativity .
    Since its establishment, our school has become well-known for its well-equipped teaching facilities ,efficient teaching and learning styles ,as well as the excellent , modern, fully-equipped and full-functionally teaching facilities, including network system, TV system , sound system ,communication system, computer classrooms, media classrooms, software offices and a modern stadium for physical and art training. At present, Wenzhou No. 14 Middle School has 19 senior classes, and 23 junior classes, with over 2,131students and more than 165 teachers and clerks. Among them, there are 35 senior teachers and 60 first-grade teachers. 82.2% of them graduated from university with undergraduate courses, especially three of them are running for Master’s degree. The average age of the teachers is 35.2.Since it was established, more than 40 teachers have been awarded as model workers, excellent teachers or outstanding young teachers of  Wenzhou City or Zhejiang Province.
    The school has long been famous for the general quality of its students and teachers as well as  an efficient management ,a rigorous teaching approach and a good style of studying, both in and out of Wenzhou City. Our school was rewarded  “Wenzhou Civilized School ” in 1993, 1996 and 1999  and “Zhejiang Civilized School” in 1999.In 1997, our school is listed in " Education Experimental Base" by Central Educational and Research Institute of our country. Our school is also listed in “Zhejiang Modern Education Technology Experimental School” . Our school was honored as “First 200 Best Schools in Scientific Research of Zhejiang Province”bu Zhejiang Educational Science and Technology Institute in 2002.. Our school has been elected as”“Advanced Unit in Spreading & Applying Modern Education Technology”in 2003 and “Zhejiang Province  Demonstration School  on Curriculum Reform & School Course Research” in 2004. Our school was rewarded as “Wenzhou Key High School” in 2005.
    As a result, students’ individual quality and overall quality have been improved and lots of versatile students have achieved excellent performances in all kinds of competitions both in Wenzhou City and in Zhejiang Province. More than ten students have won the first, second or third prize in Zhejiang Science Contest or National Junior Mathematics Contest. (Nine students of our school are listed in the test for Mathematics Experimental Class of Wenzhou High School. On average, 50 students or so enter key high schools of Wenzhou City per year and 97% of them can be admitted by universities , colleges or institutes. Our school’s fast development with the help of excellent management has been reported successively by“Chinese Education Newspaper ”,“Education Information Newspaper” ,“Zhejiang Science & Technology  Newspaper ”and “Wenzhou Daily”and so on.
